Would they dare???

Posted by: Rachel Thursby   in Diabetes

I’ve often questioned if pharmaceutical companies would allow a cure for diabetes.  Let’s face it, they make a lot of money not only with insulin but with syringes and all other equipment that a diabetics needs.

In my job, I get to speak with a lot of people in Europe.  A lot of them actually work in the pharmaceutical field.  Some even work in clinical trial.  When I ask them that question, almost all of them give me an enthusiastic NO.  Pharmaceutical companies would never stop a cure from being available for diabetes or cancer or any other chronic disease.  I had one person who wouldn’t say no.  She said, I hope not.

But then today I came upon this article.  It really makes you wonder… would pharmaceutical company and the government actually allow more people to die in order to make more of a profit?

What do you think?  I would love to hear opinions on this matter.  Thanks for sharing! :)

My son’s old endo told us there was no way the big companies would give up their profits to find a cure for diabetes. That being said, I’m sure someone will create a cure one day, and I can’t wait!
